Arjun apologises to Kashvi for forcing her do the ritual while wearing a veil for so long when he mistakenly thought she was Mahima. He tells her how much he loves her. Daadi calls Arjun away out of concern that he could remove Kashvi's veil. Kashvi unwinds. Mahima would be kept like her own daughter, thus Nitya encourages Nayan to not worry about her. Romila observes Mahima and Daadi's anxiety and wonders what can be the cause of it. She looks for Kashvi and enquires after her. Nayan claims that she feels weak and is taking a nap in her room. Romila understands that they both switched Kashvi for Mahima. She attempts to remove Kashvi's veil.
She is halted by Daadi, who requests that she bring a pot for the rite. Romila instructs her kids to bring stones. The wife queries why. Kashvi, not Mahima, is hiding behind the veil, which Romila fills with stones. If she grows weary of carrying a heavy pot around the streets, the veil will come off, she says. Family supports her malicious scheme.
Mahima/Kashvi is instructed to lift the pot by Romila, who is holding it in front of her. Nayan declares that she will hoist the pot in its place since she made a mannat or want to do so for the children's good future. She says even she will hoist Arjun's pot because Nitya likes her concept. They leave with pots in hand. Her spouse informs Romila that her scheme didn't work. According to Romila, Kashvi will drop her veil as she runs to her frightened mother because she will be too exhausted to continue holding the pot. Nayan notices the pot is heavy and believes there is a problem. When she finally drops the pot, Romila waits.
Nayan spills the beans. Sam maintains it there by holding it. What is he doing here, Nitya wonders. Sam claims that he strolled over to them as they were performing a ceremony while he was passing by after attending another event, hoping not to disturb them. Not at all, replies Nitya; visitors are welcome.
Sam failing their plan infuriates Romila. Why is the saucepan so heavy, Sam wonders. Water, according to Nayan, is present. Sam checks it and responds, "Not possible." When they all saw stones, they are all astonished. Romila believes Sam utterly blew her plan. Together, Sam and Nayan remove stones. In the pot, he is holding her hand. She is anxious. In the background, a song called Tu Hai Mujhe Phir Aur Kya Chahiye is playing. Her hand is released. Romila is pulled aside by Daadi and reprimanded for putting stones in the kettle before she asks Mickey and Monty to fetch water.
Romila disputes. She is advised by Daadi to quit acting as though she brought the marijuana and to put an end to her plots immediately or face punishment. While angry over Nayan, Romila mulls on how to reveal Kashvi.
Nayan has marijuana. Romila trips over Kashvi's sari. Sam catches Kashvi as she is ready to reveal her face after slipping, and he is astonished to see Kashvi instead of Mahima. Daadi thanks him and departs with Kashvi. Sam wonders why Kashvi, rather than Mahima, is providing this ceremony for Nayan. Following the ritual, Nitya congratulates the family on its successful completion and expresses her wish that the other rites will go well as well. Her family departs with her. Sam expresses his gratitude to Daadi for allowing him to attend her family's event. Instead, she need to thank him for assisting them, advises Daadi.
Nayan is informed by Sam that she must go with him. Everyone is looking at him perplexed. Sam tells her to go outside because he needs to give her some paperwork. He is accompanied by Nayan. Her spouse reprimands Romila for her botched scheme.
