Manpreet Kaur, a competitor in Season 19 of Roadies, discusses her valiant struggle against a serial killer.

In addition to receiving praise for her fortitude, Manpreet Kaur, a Bhangra instructor from Punjab, overcame a vicious serial killer's nearly deadly attack to prevail. Although she was subjected to eviction in a significant vote-out on a reality show, her real-life tale of survival and tenacity is nothing short of inspirational.

Manpreet was killed by the serial killer in 2013, who had already taken two lives. She was staying at the Inspector's house as a paying guest, but the offender, who was dressed as an auto-rickshaw driver, thought she was his daughter and abducted her.

Her memory is permanently scarred by the tragedy of that terrible morning. At five in the morning, Manpreet suffered unspeakable agony in the pouring rain. Her body was severely injured, her lungs were punctured, and she was in critical condition after the attacker aggressively stabbed her many times with a screwdriver.

Manpreet's unbreakable attitude inspired her to fight back despite the agonising agony and potentially fatal wounds. In a frantic battle, she managed to stab the assailant with her pencil heel and clutch his neck before he ultimately ran off, thinking she was about to die.

The ordeal went on for a while. After being abandoned on the ground for several hours, onlookers ignored her calls for assistance, presuming she was a victim of a drunk driving accident. She was unable to express her pain to people around her due to badly injured vocal chords.

Manpreet drew strength from inside and made a commitment to live and make sure that no one else experienced the same tragedy. She had been stumbling for miles when a kind family found her and took her to the hospital. The path to recovery was, however, paved with difficulties because doctors were reluctant to treat her because of the involvement of the police.

Manpreet battled for her life and sought justice despite the obstacles. She helped the police produce a sketch that resulted in the arrest of one of the culprits by giving them crucial information. She stayed unwavering throughout the arduous legal process, testifying against the attacker and obtaining a life sentence for him in December 2015.

Manpreet was presented with the district bravery award in recognition of her extraordinary bravery and crucial contribution to catching the offender. Her valiant struggle against misfortune serves as an example to everyone of the unbreakable spirit that does not allow even the most difficult circumstances in life to break it.
