Jhumki thwarts Maitree's plan in the written episode for August 23rd, 2023 of Maitree

Maitree is informed by Jhumki that she has caught her and that nothing terrible will happen to her as long as she has Gangajal from the Occultist. Jhumki learns from Maitree that she was close to passing away. Jhumki opens her eyes to discover Maitree is no longer there.

Jhumki approaches the huge pit where Maitree's remains were interred. Jhumki chases Maitree as she flees. She lets Nandini know that their spirit strategy worked by getting in touch with her. Maitree is cautioned by Nandini to be careful. After Baba has imprisoned Jhumki, according to Maitree, they will be freed. Harsh comes up to Nadini and concurs with Maitree. Maitree expresses her joy that he is okay and that once the Jhumki chapter is through, the rest of the family would be alright.

Jhumki drank the water provided by the Occultist and threw the Kalash into the hole where Maitree was killed. Jhumki wonders what is happening to her while feeling lightheaded. Maitree approaches Jhumki. How did she manage to escape the kalash? Jhumki asks Maitree a question. Jhumki is informed by Maitree that she is alive and is told how Mahadev saved her. Jhumki falls to the ground unconscious. Nandini calls Maitree and asks how she is doing. After saying that everything is proceeding as planned, Maitree hangs up the phone.

After that, Harsh and Nandini wait for Maitree. They are aware of the calling bell. When Jhumki appears, they are shocked when Nandini eagerly answers the door. Nandini is confronted by Jhumki about her infidelity. She imprisons Nandini in the bed's covert storage space. Jhumki seems to be controlling Harsh. Harsh believes he has never had any reason to believe Nandini is having an affair. He wants to know what happened. Jhumki admits to Harsh that she already knew it was all a farce. What did she do to Baba, he wonders. She remembered killing a fake Baba. She is questioned harshly about what she did with Maitree. Harsh receives a hug from Jhumki as she informs him that Maitree has been sentenced. Harsh asks what Maitree's sentence was. In regards to Maitree's arrest, Jhumki lies to Harsh.
