Vanraj explains to Maaya that if it weren't for Samar's wedding, he wouldn't tolerate them and wouldn't even let Anuj knock on his door. Maaya queries why they are so eager to reconcile Anuj and Anupama. After Samar and Dimpy's wedding, they will forget about Anuj, and anyway, Anupama will go for America, leaving Anuj in hell, says Vanraj. He is cautioned by Maaya to watch his words because he has no right to criticise Anuj. She is cautioned to be careful by Vanraj. Maaya claims she won't. Vanraj tells her that he won't mind her words at that point and reminds her that she has no right to criticise Anupama.
Anuj remembers Anupama's previous remarks as she is driving the car to drop her off at her house and feels sad. In the background, a song called Karoge Yaad To plays. As it melts. He hands her his kerchief, stating that he once wiped her lips with it, but that he has since lost his right to do so. By accident, she spills ice cream. He requests permission to bring a new one. She claims she has no need.
She claims that when Pakhi was younger, she used to read a story about a prince to her; she had no idea that a prince would eventually come into her life. She thanks him for treating her like a princess and for his undying love for her. Though time doesn't reverse, he did it for her and had her experience her college years. She says she had lost hope in love but that he gave it back to her. Anuj claims that even she finished him. Anupama then explains that love is acting like a mischievous child who rings the doorbell and flees, which is why they are divorcing. She claims that she is afraid of drowning in a river. He states as a result of him. Anupama claims that although fate prevented him from going back to her, it was not his fault. She will ask God why he first provided love before taking it away. She goes on to talk about how much she loved him and how they are now apart.
Anuj claims that while she will be gone for three years, he was away from her for a month. They immediately inquire how they will survive without one another while holding each other's hands. He apologises for intentionally or unintentionally hurting her feelings and should be punished. They are equal partners, according to Anupama, and she will unquestionably take her share. She claims that although their friendship lasted just up until this point, it was incredibly lovely; despite their separation, their love for one another will endure. Anuj claims that he has always loved her, even while she wasn't with him. He will remain in Anupama's heart even after she passes away.
In the background, a song called Tu Shayar Hai Main Teri Shayari may be heard. Both of them keep sobbing emotionally. If she will forget him, Anuj wonders. Anupama asserts that she won't let him or even himself forget her. How will he because he has Anu in his name, asks Anuj. When he was away from her in America, he used to look for her in this moon, he tells her, and she should gaze at the moon anytime she thinks of him since even he would be doing so. Anupama asks how he will view the moon as it will be day in America when it is night here. They both laugh before crying once more.
