Aastha Sharma, star of "Swaran Ghar," discusses her acting career and how she landed her first part.

Aastha Sharma, a talented performer who was raised in a middle-class household and was born in Shimla, launched her career by producing the music album "Mitran De Pind." The actor gained fame in 2022 by playing Swaran in "Swaran Ghar". She eventually did portray Avantika in the drama "Piya Abhimani," in which she co-starred with actor Akshit Sukhija.

By taking on the role of Neerja, Aastha is able to dominate the "Neerja- Ek Nayi Pehchaan" show. A new drama on Colours TV that features a compelling storyline and a mother-daughter relationship belongs to the popular Hindi romantic genre. With her performances, Astha is excelling at the lead role. Aastha talked candidly about her acting experience, how she got the chance, and much more in an exclusive interview with Etimes.

Aashtha admitted that during her undergraduate years, after switching from a foundation in the humanities to pursuing a Bachelor's in Business Administration, she was bewildered. This was disclosed when the actor was questioned about her acting career. She was given the part of young Swaran in the play "Swaran Ghar" around this time.

She had no prior experience with camera angles, but she came across as confident when filming. Her experience in the acting industry was learned on the job, and it was during this time that she became deeply passionate about the trade and finally made the decision to pursue it as a career. She had her first chance when she was in college.


After getting her start in the television industry, she bravely decided to forgo additional education in favour of acting full-time. Thankfully, she had steadfast support from her parents during this change. With her father by her side, the transition to Mumbai was easier despite the hardships that came with it.

Aastha recalled how the casting director of "Swaran Ghar" came across her Instagram portfolio as she was reflecting on how she got her first acting job. The casting director contacted her and asked for a monologue after being awed by how well-suited she was for the part. She impressed the casting director, who quickly invited her to attend the shoot the next day. This experience demonstrated the effectiveness of social media, even with a modest following, in assisting her in securing her first job in the television industry.
