It's probable that Bhavika Sharma would portray the new lead in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.

Ulka Gupta is no longer in the running for the lead role in the upcoming season of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, contrary to earlier rumours. In order to cast Bhavika Sharma as the female lead, the producers have now contacted her.

According to a programme insider, "We looked at a number of candidates, and Bhavika seems to be the greatest fit for the character specifications. We believe the deal will be completed soon. We are still considering a number of performers for the male role, and nothing is official as of yet. False information has been spread about Fahmaan Khan being signed.

The producer Rajesh Ram Singh and actress Bhavika Sharma could not be reached for comment.

As stated earlier, the choice to include a time jump in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin was made because the writers felt that the original plot, which was based on the well-known Bengali drama Kusum Dola, had come to a logical end. In the upcoming season, only the actors who play members of Virat's family—Kishori Shahane, Shailesh Datar, Bharati Patil, Sheetal Maulik, Tanvi Thakkar, and Vihan Verma—will remain.

Santosh Sharma, played by Bhavika Sharma, received praise for her performance in Maddam Sir: Kuch Baat Hai Kyunki Jazbaat Hai. She was on the show for two years and eight months before leaving in October 2022 to pursue other possibilities. If all goes well, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin will be her eight-month hiatus from television.
